I am the Executive Director and CEO of the Education and Research Consortium of the Western Carolinas, Inc., or ERC Broadband as we are known. We are a regional, non-profit broadband middle mile network and data center.
We support four things in the communities we serve: education, healthcare, government services, and economic development by expanding our fiber-optic infrastructure. Plus, we work with communities throughout WNC to help them meet their technical needs.
